Our range covers LED under cupboard spotlights, integrated linear lights, flexible strip lighting and the Affinity magnetic track, for kitchens and utility rooms, in single colour, TrioTone® (warm, natural or cool white on the light itself), colour adjustable CCT and dimmable versions. Most run at 24V from a Sensio driver, and Connex™ and Axis™ are integrated mains lights with no separate driver. Designed for kitchen and utility furniture installers and distributors, under cabinet lighting is the most popular way into the Sensio 24V system.
How to choose under cupboard lights
Spotlights, strip or track. Under cabinet spotlights, also called under cabinet downlights, such as Hype, Apex and Astro shine down onto the worktop in pools of light, surface mounted or recessed into the base of the wall unit. LED strip lights in a profile give an even line of light with fewer shadows. The Affinity magnetic track lets you move or add lights later without rewiring.
Light colour. Natural white (4000K) suits most worktops, warm white (3000K) suits traditional kitchens, and TrioTone® lights let you choose when you fit them. Pro™ spotlights are CCT, adjusting from warm to cool. See our colour temperature chart.
Power and control. 24V lights plug into a 24V LED driver; size it with what size LED driver do I need? Add a sensor, remote or the Link Sensio app from our lighting controls, or choose a Leader & Follower set with a built-in IR sensor.
Lights under cupboards: spotlights, downlights or strip?
For most kitchens, under cupboard spotlights are the simplest choice: one light per wall unit, surface mounted or recessed, plugged into a driver hidden above the units. Kitchen under cabinet downlights are the same thing, recessed so only the trim shows. If you want no pools of light at all, run an LED strip in a profile along the underside of the units. In a utility room or on a single run of units, an integrated mains light such as Connex™ or Axis™ needs no driver. If there is no socket nearby, see our battery operated under cupboard lights.

It depends on the look you want. Spotlights give pools of light and suit most kitchens. LED strip in a profile gives a continuous, even line of light. Magnetic track lets you move lights later. All three are in this collection.
Are under cupboard lights the same as under cabinet lights?
Yes. Under cupboard lights, under cabinet lights and lights under cupboards all mean the same thing: lights fitted to the underside of kitchen wall units to light the worktop. Every option, from spotlights to LED strip and magnetic track, is in this collection.
Should I use spotlights or LED strip under kitchen cabinets?
Choose spotlights for a classic look with defined pools of light. Choose LED strip for even light along the whole worktop with fewer shadows, or where cabinets are different lengths, as flexible strip can be cut to size. See the best LED strip lights for a kitchen.
What colour light is best under kitchen cabinets?

Where should under cabinet lights be placed?
Towards the front of the cabinet underside, so the light falls on the front of the worktop where you work. Space spotlights evenly so the pools of light meet, or run strip the full length of each cabinet.
Do under cabinet lights need a driver?
Our 24V under cabinet lights need a 24V LED driver. Integrated mains lights, such as Connex™ and Axis™, do not. The driver size guide helps you choose.
Are there mains under cabinet lights?
Yes. Connex™, Connex TrioTone® and Axis™ are integrated mains under cabinet lights, so there is no separate driver to fit.
Do I need an electrician to fit under cupboard lights?
The 24V lights plug into the driver, so fitting the lights themselves is simple. Any work on mains wiring, including connecting the driver or a mains light to the supply, should be done by a qualified electrician.
Can under cabinet lights be dimmed or work with a sensor?
Yes, many can. Most of our 24V spotlights dim with a receiver or smart driver, and our Leader & Follower sets have an IR sensor on the leader light that controls every light in the chain. See lighting sensors and control.
Can I move or add under cabinet lights later?
Yes, with the Affinity™ magnetic track. Spotlights clip onto the track, so you can move or add them without rewiring.
