2.5 Website links. Our Site may link to third-party websites. Those websites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them. Please read their policies before giving them any personal data.
3. Customers
3.1 When you order goods or services from us, online or by phone, we collect details such as your name, address, payment information, telephone number and email address. We use this information to process your order and meet our contractual obligations. We may also use it to answer questions or feedback about your order, which is in our legitimate interest of providing good customer service.
3.2 To deliver your order, we may share personal data with third parties such as payment providers, couriers, our e-commerce platform, our email service provider and our product review platform.
3.3 We may publish your feedback on our website and marketing materials, with your consent where required.
3.4 We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide the goods or services you ordered, and for six years afterwards. If you have signed up for marketing, we keep your details for the period in section 6.
4. Suppliers
We collect contact names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and payment information from our suppliers so that we can contact you about goods or services, place orders and pay you. We keep this data for six years after the goods or services were provided.
5. If you do not provide personal data
Where we need personal data by law or under a contract with you and you do not provide it, we may not be able to perform that contract, for example to supply goods or services. If so, we will tell you at the time.
6. Marketing
6.1 Where you have told us you would like to hear from us, for example by buying from us, subscribing to our newsletter, entering a competition or giving us your details, we may use your personal data for our legitimate interests to send you details of our goods, services, business updates and events.
6.2 You can opt out at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any of our emails, or by emailing info@sensiolighting.com or calling 01977 522020 with your name and contact details.

We may monitor and record communications with you, such as phone calls and emails, for quality, training, fraud prevention and compliance. We keep recordings for 30 days.
8. Credit checks
We may carry out a credit check on customers to make credit decisions and to prevent fraud and money laundering. If you receive a low credit score, we may decline to supply goods on credit or ask for payment upfront. If you give us false or inaccurate information and we suspect fraud, we will record this.
9. Legal basis for using your personal data
We only use your personal data where the law allows. Most commonly, we use it:
- to perform a contract with you, such as fulfilling your order;
- where we need to meet a legal or regulatory obligation, such as tax, accounting and fraud prevention;
- for our legitimate interests, as described in this policy, where your interests and rights do not override them; and
- where you have given your consent, for example to non-essential cookies.

This includes sharing information with other organisations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
10.3 We will not sell your personal data.

14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy at any time and will post any changes on this page. If a change materially affects how we use your personal data, we will let you know. If we want to use your personal data for a new purpose, we will tell you first and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.
