Guest rooms need lighting that works for every part of a stay, from unpacking and working to reading in bed. Our hotel bedroom lighting combines wall lights and ceiling lights with discreet LED strip, so you can layer light around the bed, desk and wardrobe.
Run an LED strip behind a headboard or under the bed frame for a soft glow that guides guests at night without disturbing anyone else. Inside wardrobes, wardrobe lighting paired with a sensor switches on when the door opens and off when it closes. For rooms that need to feel bright in the morning and relaxed in the evening, our dual colour temperature strip gives you two colour temperatures from one strip.

Hotel & Hospitality Lighting FAQs
What lighting is best for hotel rooms?
The best hotel room lighting is layered. Use ceiling lights or downlights for general light, wall lights at the desk and bedside for tasks, and LED strip behind the headboard or under the bed for a soft accent glow. Warm white tones help guests relax, and a sensor in the wardrobe switches the light on when the door opens. Find more guest room LED lighting ideas or explore our wall lighting.
Which bathroom zones and IP ratings apply to hotel bathrooms?
UK bathrooms are split into zones based on how close a light is to water. Zone 0 (inside the bath or shower tray) needs at least IPX7, and zones 1 and 2 need at least IPX4. IP65 is recommended in zone 1 where a light may be hit by jets from the shower. Our guide to bathroom zones and IP ratings explains each zone, and IP44 vs IP65 lighting helps you choose. Bathroom lighting should always be installed by a qualified electrician.
What colour temperature should hotel lighting be?
Most hotels use warm white (around 2700K to 3000K) in guest rooms, restaurants and spas, because it feels cosy and relaxing. Cooler white (around 4000K) suits bathroom mirrors, back-of-house areas and anywhere guests need clear task light. Our dual colour temperature strip gives you both from one strip. See our guide to colour temperature for hotels for a full chart.
Do you offer bespoke or cut-to-length LED strip for hotel fit-outs?
Yes. Our TrueFIT service cuts LED strip and profiles to your exact lengths, solders the connections and kits each run with the right 24V driver. Every run arrives ready to fit, with our 7 year guarantee, so each room gets an identical finish with no cutting or soldering on site. Find out more about bespoke LED strip cut to length.
Which mirrors suit hotel bathrooms?
Illuminated mirrors are the most popular choice, as they give guests clear, even light at the basin. Our LED illuminated cabinets add storage for toiletries without cluttering the vanity, and recessed mirror cabinets give a flush, built-in finish. Our guide to choosing an illuminated mirror compares the options, or browse all illuminated mirrors.
Can your lighting work with smart or DALI controls?
Our range includes lighting controls, sensors and a smart home collection, so you can control light by room or zone. If your project uses DALI or a building management system, our specification team will advise on the best options. Find out more about our hotel lighting specification support.
