A free-cut bathroom safe flexible strip
If you cut an IP65 strip, reseal the cut end or fit an end cap to keep the rating, and keep the driver out of Zone 0 and Zone 1. See bathroom zones and IP ratings, our bathroom LED strip lights, or all LED strip lights.
Waterproof LED strip lights: which IP rating?
The IP rating shows how well a strip is sealed. IP20 strips such as Sigma 2 and Primo 2 are for dry areas like kitchens and wardrobes. Viva 3 is IP54, splash resistant, for plinths. IP65 strips are sealed against water jets, for bathrooms and damp areas.
Our IP65 waterproof LED strip is Polar X IP65, a free-cut COB strip in natural white with no visible LED dots.
Waterproof LED strip lights FAQs
What does IP65 mean on LED strip?
IP65 means the strip is dust tight (the 6) and protected against water jets from any direction (the 5). It suits bathrooms and damp areas. It is not a rating for being submerged, so do not use it underwater.
Where can waterproof LED strip lights go in a bathroom?
Polar X IP65 is approved for bathroom Zone 1 and Zone 2, the areas around a bath, shower and basin covered by those zones. Keep the driver out of Zone 0 and Zone 1, and have the mains side connected by a qualified electrician. See bathroom zones and IP ratings before you plan the layout.
Can you cut waterproof LED strip?
Yes. Polar X IP65 is free cut, so you can cut it at any point. Reseal the cut end or fit an end cap to keep the IP65 rating.
What colour is Polar X IP65?
Natural white (4000K). It has 512 LEDs per metre, so the light is one continuous line with no visible dots, and it runs at 24V and can be dimmed.
